Back to Amsterdam and Den Haag

Tuesday, September 13, 2005

Getting up nice and early we headed to the station to catch the 8.30 to Amsterdam and then change to Den Haag hopefully getting in at 5pm. The train was just an IC and I thought it would be a slow train but actually it was travelling at 200km/h for most of the way, but it was an uncomfortable train. One good thing though is that it had power for my laptop so I sat most of the way organising our book. We got into Amsterdam right on time, and we headed out and to the souvenir shops as we wanted to get a few things before we left for Den Haag. The train tip Den Haag was on the usual double story train and took about an hour and then we got a tram to Ties’. It was closer to 5.45 by the time that we got in and Ties had gone to work so it was just us for a couple of hours – thank god she had given us a key for the house so we just hung out in the living room watching TV and had Bami from the local supermarket for dinner. Ties got in at 9.30 and after a coffee and stories we watched the soccer for a while before going to bed.
