We finally have a flat!

Well, we moved into a gorgeous flat on Sunday night… and within minutes we had decided to move straight back out! Although it was a gorgeous place, we just didn’t get a good ‘vibe’ when we arrived, and the flatties where not the travelling fun loving bunch. Needless to say, we hadn’t signed the one year lease yet that the landlord had wanted, so we contacted him straight away and explained the situation. He was pretty good about it but suggested we stayed for a week to see how things went. We stayed the week, but after just a couple more days we decided that it just wasn’t going to happen for us and it wasn’t the type of flat we wanted… we now know that we are in London to have a good time and meet people, so a flat where everyone spent all their time in their room was not going to be for us. So we went flat hunting and found a fantastic flat, much closer to Lesley’s place, with a couple of Aussie guys and one of their girlfriends, who’s Polish. We moved in yesterday (Saturday) and instantly felt we had made the right decision. People were talking to each other and to us!!!
After spending a couple of hours sorting out our room, we headed in to London to meet Lesley and a friend of hers (on holiday from New Zealand) and went on the London eye, which was really cool. We then met up with Fran for a beer at Oxford Circus. I can’t believe how much fun we are having in London so far… everyone we have met is here to have the same sort of experience as us and is always up for anything.
