Amsterdam, DONE.
Well we're back on the train and heading to Brussels. We had a really good time in Amsterdam, ticked all the boxes that we missed out on the last time that we were there. After the getting a hotel (It is sooo much nicer to be able to afford one in a good area and quality) and organizing ourselves we just wondered around the central area of Amsterdam. Before long found ourselves sitting in a small bar watching the All Blacks vs. Wales game. This turned out to be more drinking than watching as we got talking to a young couple that we were sharing a table with. A bit later on - In our less than sober state, we left the pub in search of food only to find the red light district instead... We had gotten so close last time - just one street further and we would have been there. Anyway after thoroughly scaring our minds forever we left in search for the much needed food that we probably should have had many hours ago. The rest of the night is pretty much a blur but I can say we made it home safe and sound but only after one of our famous going home in the wrong direction stints - at least Amsterdam is a rather small city! The next day was filled with a canal boat trip and the highlight of the trip going to the Heineken Brewery / Museum, which is a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.
