Felucca Ride to gardens & Kom Ombo Temple

We woke up on the cruise boat to another wonderful day in Egypt, the temperature was in the mid thirties and to start the day we had the traditional ship buffet breakfast - which in case you dont know cruise ships always just have sooo much food its hard just to have a small portion! Sail time was at 3pm and before we left we went on a felucca ride to the Aswan gardens and back - it was absolutely amazing. It was run by some Nubians as apparently its an old trade and difficult to learn so it's taught through the generations. They got us singing and dancing on the boat, and then opened shop to see if we wanted to buy any jewelery - which we all did, but it was nice to not be haseled and the tour guide was right there to help us get the prices right! The gardens were wonderful with very nice 360 degree views as it was an island in the middle of the Nile. The ride back took about an hour and got us back just in time for another wonderful meal before we set sail for Kom Ombo Temple.
Kom Ombo temple is dedicated to the Crocodile headed God Sobk, and to Horris the Falcon headed god. It was excavated in 1893 where before this just it's top was visible through the sand. It was our first temple and we were just in awe of it - especially as it was sun set and the colour was amazing.

Awesome and stunning. I wanna go there!! When is the coolest time?
We think it is great when a house is moved. How do you move a structure that big. I thought slaves building Pyramids etc were in the past!!
