Day trip to Hanmer

After the snow on Saturday I thought that we would be in for a tough drive to Hanmer but it was almost totally snow free and around 6-8 degrees. It was a really nice day getting there for lunch then a walk up Conical Hill,back for a swim in the pools and dinner at the local restaurant which I would strongly urge anyone not to go to!

Hanmer not Hamner. There is no Ham in Hanmer and no Sun in Sumner.
A little quote I heard on the radio once and ever since have taught to thousands of kids at schools (and teachers)
