Redruth, (Newquay) to Dartmouth

Thursday, July 17, 2008

Woke up to a lovley day today. Still feeing a little depressed about the car ana we headed off towards Exeter. Before long the roads had widened and we were making good time and feeling a bit more positve. We stopped at a 'barn cafe' two hours in or so for a cream tea. At first I thought it was going to be a liitle strange as it appeared to be just someone's house that they had put a couple of tables in the front room and called it a cafe (which is exactly what it was) but the waitress was lovley giving us little tips about where to go and what to miss - which happened to be most of where we were going that day. It turned out that there was a glass factory just down the road which was brilliant and that we should skip Torquay and go to Dartmouth which we did - and I'm happy to say it is a wonderful little seaside townw ith a very nice castle indeed!
